Design ideas
Whatever your requirements might be; a sunny breakfast room
or a candle-lit dining area, a gymnasium or library,
an observatory or a tropical paradise for your plants. |
A conservatory is not just
about adding another room to your home.
This room in the garden can be used for a
variety of purposes from a dining room to a home
study or somewhere for the children to play
and teenagers to relax with their friends.
This section has been specifically created
to help you consider the key factors, to ensure that your conservatory,
a major purchase, meets your individual needs. |
 |
 |
The first areas to consider are:
What will your conservatory be used
for?
Which style to
pick?
The planning stage is the most crucial. Take
the time to think carefully about your own individual requirements,
this will ensure that your conservatory is built exactly how you
want it.
Buy the best possible conservatory you can
afford, Of course you want value for money - but don't try doing
it too cheaply.
A little more spent now, will give
you many more years of satisfaction with your conservatory. |

Don't forget the most important thing
in any building project...
The Time Capsule
!!
Simply put some current newspaper clippings
plus a brief description of yourself and your family in a waterproof/rot-proof
container. A 2 litre plastic bottle with screw cap is perfect.
Children love to include some "original
artwork" and written descriptions of themselves.
The fun and sense of occasion is amazing.
Perhaps someday somebody else will share in this. You can "hide"
the time capsule almost anywhere - but the favourite is within the
cavity walls or under the floor if you are having a suspended floor.
